  • You will learn the signs and stages of labor, the role of the labor support person, the process of birth, and positions for labor and delivery. We will cover what to do during labor, when to go to the hospital, and details about all pain medication options. Our classes are a combination of discussion, demonstration, video presentation, and hands-on-practice.

  • Our classes are fun and interactive, even for the guys. There is a lot of hands-on-practice. We'll discuss Lamaze breathing strategies and relaxation skills, comfort measures, acupressure, massage and labor support. You’ll get a chance to practice them, to ask questions, and to get feedback on how you’re doing. You'll also learn about epidurals, c-sections, and other medical interventions so you'll be prepared for whatever comes up. In addition, patients who are prepared are more in control and able to process information from the nurses and doctors easier. Sometimes, simply knowing what to expect from childbirth can make it an experience you can approach with your mind at ease.
